The City of Tshwane approved the establishment of the Research and Innovation Department in 2012 which was then tasked to establish an Innovation Framework which would address the approach of the City of Tshwane in rolling out innovation to enhance service delivery. The Growth System further provided support in terms of implementation of the Innovation program and the alignment of innovation to the entire organizational strategy. The work done with The Growth System sets the tone for future innovation programs and the systems has created a platform where employees from the comfort of their office can submit ideas online that will assist the City in enhancing the delivery of services.
